Sölden in the Ötztal – The Hot Spot in the Alps!

Sölden in summer and winter.

Majestic mountains, crystal clear air, no boredom at all – that's what Sölden stands for in summer and winter alike. Perfectly signposted cycle paths and mountain bike trails, 300 kilometers of marked walking and hiking routes stretching from 1377 to more than 3000 meters above sea level. A breathtaking paradise for leisurely walkers, hikers, families and all those yearning for great heights.

Sölden is also synonymous with winter activities amid pristine landscapes. It is renowned for the yearly held Alpine Ski World Cup Opening in October, and the huge ski and snowboard test center on the glacier. Winter sport aficionados can choose from 150 kilometers of immaculate ski runs amid the picture-book ski area which is one of the most famous in all of Europe. Thanks to its high Alpine location between 1377 and 3250 meters altitude and a top modern snow-making system, perfect snow conditions are guaranteed until late spring. Furthermore the winter ski area is connected to the glacier slopes of Tiefenbach and Rettenbach.

An absolute must if you come to Sölden in winter is the ultimate BIG 3 rally – three peaks higher than 3000 meters accessible with state-of-the-art mountain gondolas: Gaislachkogl (3058 m), Tiefenbachkogl (3309 m) and Schwarze Schneid (3370 m). Breathtaking panoramic views await you on the three vantage points and viewing platforms.
